The puppies are now one week old and what a busy first week they have had. All the puppies have been eating and growing at a steady rate and they have already had their first visit to the vet. At the vet the puppies had their tails docked and their dew claws removed. Since the Braque Francais type Pyrenees are working hunting dogs it is a good idea to dock their tails and remove their dew claws so that they do not break them in the field. The puppies are also growing fast all of them have gained at least a half a pound.
For every litter a theme is picked for the litter and the pups are given names related to that theme; the theme for this litter is comic book characters. All of the puppies have been given comic book character names which we will call them for the rest of the time they are with us.
