Ivy has recently been spayed I do not like to push too many breeding's out of my females because it is hard on the female and puppies health. Thus I do not like to breed my females past the age of about 5 and half. Ivy is now 6 and half so it is time for her stop being a breeding a dog and if you are not going to breed your female it is best for their health to get them fixed. So Ivy was fixed a couple of weeks ago. She is fully recovered now however she had to wear the cone of shame for over a week, poor Ivy.
Ivy will now get to focus all her time on competition and all the fun stuff that we love to do with our dogs without ever going into season. We are so excited to have many years of agility and hunting competition with Ivy.
This year we are hoping to have puppies between Piper and Ace. Piper is in season right now and has had a successful mating with Ace this past week. It takes at least 30 days to know if the breeding has resulted in a pregnancy, fingers crossed that Piper is now pregnant with puppies. Keep following us to find out and more information about Piper's pregnancy and the upcoming litter.
