Ace OFA Hip Grading

Ace is now over the age of two which means he can get his hips evaluated and graded by the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals).  This grading determines the condition of the dogs hips and if they have hip dysplasia.  There are seven different gradings for the hips with the OFA they are excellent, good, fair, borderline and dysplastic (mild, moderate or severe). In terms of breeding this grading is very important because it informs if hip dysplasia is present in lines and breeding dogs. In breeding dogs a grading of excellent or good are preferred. To find out more about OFA hip gradings please visit this website, http://www.offa.org/hd_grades.html .

Ace has received a hip grading from the OFA of "Good" a great grading for our youngest member. To view Ace's OFA grading visit this website: https://www.ofa.org/display.html?appnum=1851639#animal .
